KICKER
“3-way sounds interesting, but I’m a little worried about collecting all the high-end units right away.”
For people like you, LOGON has put together the original 3-way kit using the KICKER KS series as a realistic system upgrade.
The kit consists of three units: a tweeter, a 3.5-inch speaker, and a 6×9-inch speaker. Because each unit handles a different frequency range, the sound that would often blend together and be easier to hear as “one” with OEM speakers shifts in a direction where it’s easier to feel the positions of vocals and instruments, as well as the thickness of the sound.
KST2504 handles the high-frequency range, delivering improved clarity and transparency.
KSC3504 supports the core of vocals and instruments and pushes the sound image forward.
KSC6904 adds thickness to the mid-bass range, making it easier to maintain the presence of music even while driving.
By letting the three units share their roles, it’s not just that the volume gets louder. Music lines up in a more three-dimensional way, so even with your usual songs, you’ll find it easier to notice, “Oh—there was sound like this in here.”
What’s interesting about this kit is that you can finely control each unit using a DSP.
KSC3504 and KSC6904 are coaxial speakers, but by adjusting the frequency bands with a DSP, you can change how the sound is put together. Start with a balance that prioritizes listenability, then fine-tune things like vocal imaging position or emphasize mid-bass thickness. You can gradually dial in the sound to match the music you listen to and your preferences.
This isn’t a system where you only listen to a fixed sound—you can check how it sounds inside your car and move it closer to what you like.
A 3-way system isn’t finished just by adding units. It’s important to perform installation and adjustments while considering the mounting locations for each vehicle, how it combines with the OEM system, and how each speaker connects.
Even using the same units, where and how you mount them, as well as how you adjust the DSP, will change how cohesive the sound feels and how easy it is to listen to.
At LOGON, after confirming your vehicle model, your current system, the music you typically listen to, and your sound preferences, we work with you to design a setup you can enjoy without strain. The good thing about this kit is that it’s not about collecting high-end units all at once—you can enjoy the changes of the 3-way first, and then move on to the next step as needed.
If you’re someone who wants to “change the sound properly from the OEM setup,” “challenge real car audio for the first time,” or “want to grow the sound with DSP in the future,” please consult us while looking at your vehicle and how you’ll use it. If it were me, I think starting with a clearly role-defined 3-way like this is a perfectly good approach, rather than pushing toward an expensive configuration right from the start.
