With Kicker’s well-defined sound, every day with the CX-80 feels even more comfortable.

【Mazda CX-80 Speaker Plan | Kicker Speaker Replacement Kit】

Listening to music in your Mazda CX-80 and—

  • It isn’t bad even with the factory setup, but you want vocals to sound a bit clearer
  • The treble doesn’t have enough extension or information
  • You’d like to improve how well the sound comes together when listening from the front seats
  • You want to enhance sound quality naturally without drastically changing the look

This is a CX-80-only Kicker speaker replacement plan for people like you.
However, this product does not include an instruction manual, so we will limit it to those who can understand how to install it by looking at the kit. Depending on the vehicle specifications and grade, there may be cases where it can or cannot be installed—if you’re not sure, I think it’s best to ask your installer.

By replacing the tweeters in the front doors, the 2-way door speakers, and the center speaker, we’ll lay the foundation of the sound while making use of the factory layout.

CX-80 Dedicated Replacement Kit Composition

The speakers included are configured as follows.

  • Door tweeter: KST2004
  • Front door speaker: KSC3504
  • Center speaker: KSC3504
  • Dedicated mounting kit

Because we use dedicated mounts and dedicated couplers matched to the vehicle, you can replace the speakers without significantly disturbing the factory look.

The change you’re likely to feel most easily after replacing the speakers is “listening comfort.” The contours of vocals become less blurry, and the midrange—like singing voices and conversation—becomes easier to follow. The treble can also deliver clarity different from the factory speakers, making it a plan where you can easily notice the difference with your usual audio sources such as J-POP, streaming tracks, and the radio.

Rather than adding bass in a flashy way, this plan naturally organizes the sound around the front area, and is suited to those who want to enjoy their usual music a little more comfortably.

Required Modifications During Installation

For the left and right door speakers, this is a configuration that allows installation without major modifications.

For the center speaker, you’ll need to trim and adjust part of the factory mount in order to fix the dedicated mount. The modification is only to an internal portion, so the appearance will not change after completion. Also, since the work proceeds while checking the vehicle-side condition, it is not a process involving more cutting or modification than necessary.

Since this kit uses a connector connection on the vehicle side, installation also requires assembling the connector parts included to connect to the speaker unit itself. Considering reliable connection and a finish that is less likely to develop problems later, installation at a specialized shop with installation experience is recommended.

Speakers Sound Different Depending on “How” They’re Installed

In a vehicle with a well-built cabin space like the CX-80, simply replacing the speakers can easily change the overall impression of the sound. At the same time, the way the sound is produced also changes depending on the mounting condition and how neatly the speakers fit at the installation position.

At LOGON, we don’t stop at just replacing the speakers—we install while checking:

  • How well it fits on the vehicle side
  • The speaker mounting and fixing condition
  • The connection of the connector section
  • Wiring treatment
  • Compatibility with the factory system
  • How the front and center speaker sounds connect

This is done while confirming each item.

It’s also suitable for those who want to try how much improvement they can get with a factory-style replacement first. And for those who want to improve the sound naturally without it being too flashy, or who want to arrange the front soundstage including the center, this plan is often a realistic place to start.

For Those Who Want to Naturally Elevate the CX-80’s Sound

You want to keep the factory-like look, but make the music you listen to during your daily drives a bit more clear. For CX-80 owners like you, this is a speaker replacement plan that’s easy to consider.

Even with the same speakers, how you perceive the sound will vary depending on the vehicle condition, the installation method, and your typical listening volume and listening style. At LOGON, we first ask about your current dissatisfaction and how much you want to change, and then we organize whether it’s better to proceed with just a speaker replacement or to also consider future system upgrades.

If you want to refine vocal clarity and improve how cohesive the front sound is while making use of the CX-80’s factory audio, please tell us first about your current vehicle and your preferences. We won’t push you into a big system change unnecessarily—we’ll think from the parts that fit how you use the car right now.
